The Colorado Springs Police Department recently conducted a search of an abandoned building for trespassers.
While the team was carefully checking room by room,they suddenly heard some sounds coming from one of the walls.
The officers were baffled at first and as they looked at each other, the creature behind the wall soon revealed its true self.
A tiny meow followed with scratches, and the officers realized what they were dealing with.
How the kitten ended behind the wall was uncertain, but the officers knew they had to act fast. No one could be sure for how long the poor thing was trapped and it was probably hungry and dehydrated.
They quickly brought over some tools and cut a section of the wall. This is when their eyes met with an adorable fluffy kitten.
Sadly, the poor thing was severely malnourished probably because she was trapped inside that wall for days.
The police officers immediately rushed the kitten to their local Humane Society. The amazing shelter took her in and found her a loving foster home where she was adorably named Wallflower!
To make things even better, once Wallflower fully recovered she got adopted by the officer who saved her from the wall!
Isn’t this amazing? The officer fell in love with this gorgeous kitten and who could blame him? She’s just absolutely adorable.
I’m so grateful their mission led them right into the building where Wallflower was trapped. Thanks to these amazing officers an innocent life was saved that day!
