Defender Sergio Ramos hinted at a reunion with his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in an Al Nassr shirt.
Cristiano Ronaldo is having a poor start to the season with Al Nassr, after losing the final of the Arab Super Cup. Ronaldo’s team had to lose once again to their great rivals, Al Hilal, and the reason was said to be the weakness of the defence.
However, CR7 is likely to reunite with his former Real Madrid teammate in the near future, and is also the option to reinforce Al Nassr’s defence, which is defender Sergio Ramos. Recently, the 38-year-old left a hint that he would be reunited with Ronaldo when he liked a post on Instagram about himself playing for Al Nassr.
This has made the team’s fans in general and Ronaldo’s fans in particular happy if they can welcome an experienced player like Sergio Ramos.
In the past, Ramos and Ronaldo were close teammates at Real Madrid. The two played together in 339 matches for Los Blancos from 2009 to 2018. During this time, the aforementioned duo won many noble titles together, including 2 La Ligas, 2 Copa del Reys, 2 Spanish Super Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 3 FIFA Club World Cups and, most notably, 4 UEFA Champions League titles, including 3 times in a row between 2016 and 2018.
As for Ramos, the defender has been with the Spanish national team since 2005 after leaving the team that made Sevilla famous. The 38-year-old made a total of 671 appearances for the Santiago Bernabéu team and stayed until 2021 before moving to PSG. The 2010 World Cup winner has played for the “France Rich Guy” for two seasons and returned to play for Sevilla in 2023 so far.
If Ramos joins Al Nassr, this can be considered a quality addition to the team’s defense and he will be reunited with many other teammates, not just Ronaldo. Among them, Karim Benzema also plays for Al Ittihad, while Nacho has just become a member of Al Qadsiah in this year’s summer transfer market.
