When Ollie was adopted, his new parents wanted to provide him with the best quality of life possible. You see, Ollie is no ordinary kitten – he was born a dwarf and has thyroid issues.
This requires daily medication, which his mom makes sure he always gets on time. Being a dwarf cat also means he is tiny, but this doesn’t stop him from playing around like any other cat.
However, when Ollie came to his new home he was not welcomed. His parents already had two other cats, Peanut and Bosco.
Sadly, Peanut and Bosco were rejecting Ollie any time he tried coming close to them. They were hissing at him, clearly stating that this was their home. As his mom said in a video:
“He tries to be friends with Bosco, but Bosco runs away from him.”
Ollie also tried befriending Peanut, but this always ended up in Peanut chasing him away.
This broke his mom’s heart, but little did she know there was a hero about to save the situation…
When no cat wanted to be friends with little Ollie, the family dog stepped in. Max, a fluffy pomeranian, instantly fell in love with tiny Ollie! As their mom shared:
“Our dog Max became his best friend. Max will just sit there licking Ollie like that’s his baby.”
Ollie found comfort in Max and the two became inseparable! Whenever his cat siblings rejected him, Max was there to hug Ollie.
The two would play, nap, and curl next to each other making an adorable duo. Once Ollie found solace in Max, his true personality started to shine through.
Ollie became more playful and for the first time since he came to his new home, he was not bothered by the fact that Peanut and Bosco didn’t like him.
With Max’s unconditional love, Ollie became an active little cat and this sparked Peanut’s curiosity.
He started approaching little Ollie and even playing with him! Although Bosco still keeps his distance, I’m sure one day they will also become best friends.
Thanks to Max, Ollie felt loved and included in his new home. He is living his best life, and his mom also said:
“I feel very lucky we have him in our lives.”
