In his recent Instagram stories, Shaq shared a reel that featured the greatest ever pound-for-pound fighters to step inside the ring. The list ranked eight hardest hitting boxers in history, who had insane fight records, with the majority of their wins coming via KO.
The list displayed legendary boxers like Mike Tyson, Sonny Liston, and George Foreman, among others. The mind-boggling records were on display, and it was difficult to absorb that fighters like Mike Tyson had 50 wins with 44 KOs.
The list ensued numerous reactions from fans as many of them debated on who was the best among the best. The comment section was flooded with reactions as some even brought the legendary Muhammad Ali into the conversation. Here are some of the reactions
“Ali fought and beat two of them while they were in their prime,… by KO”
“I think Mike Tyson was the hardest puncher”
“I stopped watching after seeing TYSON at #5”
“Tyson hit harder than Marciano because of the hand”
“Prime Tyson was devastating too, that hook > uppercut combo he could do – with either hand – was horrific!!!”
“I’m not a big fan of his but Wilder literally knocks opponents unconscious with one shot. I thought he’d be in the list.”
Muhammad Ali defeated Sonny Liston and George Foreman in his illustrious career, who were included in the list. Mike Tyson was understandably the favorite among many fans, but even he believed that the great Muhammad Ali could not be matched.
Mike Tyson on Muhammad Ali
In a very old interview, when Tyson and Ali were seated in front of each other, Mike Tyson confessed that there is no one greater than Ali. In a heartwarming clip, Tyson expressed his love and respect for the legend. “I know I’m great, but can I tell you something? In this situation, every head must bow, every tongue must confess: This [Ali] is the greatest of all time,” said Tyson while talking about his idol.
