Muhammad Ali showed us how. Before he fought George Foreman in the legendary Rumble in the Jungle, he sought advice from Cus D’Amato, who would of course later discover and train Tyson.
Cus told Ali that Foreman was a bully, and that the best way to deal with a bully is to hit him first, and hit him hard. Show him you’re not scared.
And if you watch the fight, you’ll see that from the opening bell, Ali rushed over and hit Foreman on the head right away.
He showed no fear against the most fearsome man in the heavyweight division.
When George hit him with some tasty shots, Ali taunted him for not hitting hard enough! How do you deal with someone like that? Foreman had no answer, except to keep slugging away to the point of exhaustion. And then… well, we all know what happened.
