Everyone who likes cats, rejoice! If you like fluffy cats, you’ll love some of the delights that await you in Japan. Visitors to Japan who are cat lovers should try their best to make their way to Kyoto’s Nyan Nyan Ji, also known as the Meow Meow Temple.

Visitors to the Nyan Nyan Temple in Kyoto are in for a treat because Koyuki, the current cat monk, will meet them. You may place orders for cat-themed cuisine and beverages within the temple.

The proprietor of Koyuki told about the Meow Meow Temple: “This temple was established with the motif of this beloved cat by painter Toru Kaya.” The proprietor of Koyuki claims that a well-known painter of “shrines and temples” was responsible for opening Meow Meow Temple.
There are several cat-themed monuments and artwork across the area. You may purchase various souvenirs inside the temple store named “Littlefootmark Ren” if you’re in the mood for them.
According to an interview, the temple employs/employed 7 cats: Koyuki (a female), Waka (a male), Chin (a male), Aruji (a male), Ren (a female), Konatsu (a female), and Chicchi (female). According to Koyuki’s owner, who provided some exclusive pictures from the Meow Meow Temple, “Visitors who come to worship play with cats and enjoy cafés and cat art.”
There have been cat monks in the position of honor at the temple for three generations prior to Koyuki. We don’t know if the temple’s sudden change in cats is beneficial or harmful since it has just opened in 2016.
There are more cats at Nyan Nyan Ji besides the cat monk Koyuki. There are also many helpers present. The most well-known catto, however, has a grouchy visage and is named Koyuki.
