This set of photos was taken by Briton Carolyn Dunford (23 years old), a female intern at Kruger National Park (South Africa) in the early morning.
While driving in the park, Briton Carolyn Dunford saw a long convoy of cars stop on the road. Coming closer, she was surprised to see two male lions walking leisurely in the middle of the road. Suddenly, the two lions noticed an antelope standing behind a bush along the roadside.
The two lions immediately rushed towards the antelope and a heart-stopping chase took place right in the middle of crowded tourist traffic.
Many curious tourists have opened their car windows to watch the breathtaking hunting scene like a movie.
Too scared and almost unable to find a way to escape, the unfortunate antelope knelt down and fell onto the road.
The two lions immediately “slaughtered” their prey in the middle of the road, ignoring the crowded traffic surrounding them.
The scene happened very quickly, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for tourists to witness a scene that is usually only seen in movies.
